I love working with children and teenagers, especially girls (I teach a lot of self care, boundaries, self esteem,etc.) and women, but I work with all sexes and ages!
My specialty actually lies in my diversity: I used the words Integrated Healing on my business cards long before the word integrated became popular. I like to call upon different techniques and modalities as needed. My work is based in Swedish massage originally. After dancing professionally for several years I wanted to do something that was very nurturing as well as therapeutic. I'm very tactile and sensual (loved working with clay), and since I worked with children for many years (as a teacher of preschool, natural history and herbology, gymnastics, dance and rockclimbing ) I'm also very playful. So, my work, while serious and powerful, is pleasurable and sometimes fun. I was originally trained by Master Chia with Gilles Marin so my style of Chi Nei Tsang can be intense at times but sensitive and very spacious/allowing. I have a lot of experience with emotional release from personal growth and rockclimbing courses taught with my husband, which makes me a good facilitator when that comes up on the table. My extensive training in herbalism, nutrition/diet, movement and yoga also make me a very effective coach for acute and follow-up training for a healthy, holistic lifestyle. I especially love to teach Chi Nei Tsang and the healing sounds and chi gung exercises which have made such a huge difference in my health over the years. I first learned these techniques as a way of dealing with my own symptoms of digestive problems, gas, hiatal hernia, irritable bowels, etc. All the hands on and exercises had a profound effect on how I felt, and so I naturally integrated them into my growing massage practice for others. I've found these practices to be the most transformative of anything that can be done for stressful situations, old patterns of belief and behavior that get stuck in the body, and generally just for dealing with life in a human body!
