Biographical Sketch

Tiffiny Fyans is the owner of Quintessence Healing Arts in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Since 1998 her practice has specialized in Chi Nei Tsang and Feng Shui, with a focus on the nexus of science and spirituality and how each contributes to healing and wellness.

Tiffiny’s professional training began in 1992 when she completed her coursework for certification in massage therapy through the Utah College of Massage Therapy.  Since that time Tiffiny has trained extensively in the US and Thailand, earning certification as Sr. Practitioner and Sr. Instructor from both the Chi Nei Tsang Institute in California and Master Mantak Chia’s Universal Healing Tao Center in Chiang Mai.

As a teacher and Education Director at the Chi Nei Tsang Institute during 1996-1999, Tiffiny prepared many students to successfully launch their professional practices and remains connected in service to the organizations and activities that support alternative health providers both far and near, including the Chi Nei Tsang Institute.

In 2000-2001 Tiffiny served an internship with Dr. Angela Wu, who is Director of the Chinese Healing Studies program at San Francisco State University.  The focus of her internship was the study of Taoist philosophy of health and healing, yin-yang and five elemental theory, principles of Qi, patterns of disharmony and health, lifestyle and environmental influences, and Chinese healing modalities and self-practices.   During the internship Tiffiny taught the principles and practice of Chi Nei Tsang to Dr. Wu’s students and interns.

In 2005 Tiffiny was certified in Karsai Nei Tsang through the Universal Healing Tao Center, studying under Khun Ni.   In 2007 she completed the 21 day Dark Room Retreat at the Tao Garden in Thailand, utilizing three levels of Kan & Li training.  In 2007 and in 2008 she taught a nine day Women’s Qi Gong Retreat at the Tao Garden with Shaon Smith.  And in 2009 she completed a course in Acupressure Oncology with Isabel Adkins at the Acupressure Institute.

Tiffiny teaches Chi Nei Tsang and related disciplines to individuals and groups through Quintessence Healing Arts, the Chi Nei Tsang Institute, the Tao Garden, and other organizations.  She also offers an acclaimed ongoing mentorship program leading to certification in Chi Nei Tsang.
